Bad Eating Habits

I have GOT to start eating better. Do you know what I ate yesterday? In no particular order: 2 soy sausage patties, 1 South Beach Diet chocolate bar, 1 large chocolate-chip/walnut cookie, 2 Hostess cupcakes, 1 bowl cereal, 1/2 cup cottage cheese with blueberries, 1 peanut-butter rice cake, 6 cups decaf coffee...

It's a miracle I remain upright.  I desperately wanted a banana yesterday but I purchased on Sunday some sort of mutant banana's that will not ripen. The things are just as green this morning as they were on Sunday when I bought them. 

I don't hold out a lot of hope for today. I leave the house at 6:30 AM and am in meetings until 7 tonight. One afternoon meeting is at a Panera though, so perhaps I can sneak in a salad. I'll sprinkle cookie crumbs over it so my body won't go into some sort of system failure or shock at the sight of greens. 

When I tell people I'm a vegetarian and I'm training for a 1/2 marathon, they look at me with a measure of respect. If they only knew...
