Two Winston-Salem Cats In Need of A Fur-Ever Home

These 2 beautiful cats are in need of a loving home.  They are obviously attached and need to be together.  The Siamese is named Sambo & the DSH white is named PT.  Believe they are 5 years old.  Kernersville vet can verify age & that vaccines, etc. are current.  Family may be able to help with cost if not current.  They are indoor kitties who have had access to a porch, but have probably never touched grass.  They have not been around other cats or young children.  They have only seen 1 small dog that used to come with visitors.  The family may be able to help with transport.

Below is the e-mail from the woman taking care of the cats (it came to someone in my area rescue group). If interested, please contact me and I'll put you in touch with this family. C'mon folks! Let's keep these best friends together and find these kitties a good home for the New Year!

My uncle died in June 2010 and his wife, my aunt, died December 2010.  They had 2 cats that I'm trying to find homes for.  Currently, they are still at my aunt and uncle's house, and my mom and dad are going over twice a day to feed, water, and clean out their litter boxes.  However, we can't keep them, and the house will ultimately be sold.  We already have a dog, and my mom says that's all she can manage on a permanent basis.

One cat is a Balinese male and the other looks like a white Persian and is a female.  The female originally came from a shelter.  Both have been spayed and/or neutered, but they still have their claws.  All of their shots are current, and I can provide vet records if needed.

Any help and/or information that you can provide will greatly be appreciated.  Thank you very much.

Talking 'Bout a Res-o-lu-tion

Art From Hubpages.comSo how's everyone doing with those New Year resolutions? It's been less than a week but I thought I'd report on how the New Year is shaping up, what's working, what's not, and potential areas of concern.

The Resolve: Drink 64 oz. of water each day.

The Reality: Pretty close. I've finished off the 64 ounces four out of six days and came close on the other two. I find it difficult to reach the goal if I leave the house. At home I carry around a massive water jug and sip constantly from a straw. Out and about, I'm more likely to order a coffee and nix the water. Still, heading in the right direction.

It's Time to Play: Diagnose Dena

It's time for everyone's favorite game: DIAGNOSE DENA! Here are the rules:

  1. I will share with you some ailment of which I am currently suffering
  2. You will offer me your best guess as to what the ailment is and how to cure it
  3. I save gobs of money and time by not going to the doctor and instead placing the burden of diagnosis on friends willing to do a few hours internet research

Ready to play? Today's game involves what is probably my least favorite body part, the foot. Or to be more precise, the ankle area. But it's close to the foot and a foot is involved in the photo, so my apologies to all.
